Venture to the second floor of Creative Works and find yourself surrounded by Surya’s vibrant portraits characterized by her vibrant melody of colors and materials.

Art night and Artist talks 8th of June

On the 8th of June I can be found at Creative Works giving and artist talk and later at Yonder for their Art Night! Please come along say hi and have a drink with us

Group Exhibition at Yonder (location 4)

At Yonder you will see a selection of collages from my ‘wear the inside out’ series

Wearing the inside out is a series of mixed media collages where I used a mixture of embroidery and paint on magazine cut outs. These works are studies/sketches where I worked out my ideas and explored how materials work well together, they where usually made while I worked out ideas for my bigger paintings. Embroidery is in a way a state of meditation for me and I often do it in my studio while and thinking about the next step in one of my bigger works.

Walthamstow Life drawing (location 155)

Upstairs in the Nags head you will be able to see the life-drawings created the incredibly talented members of Walthamstow life drawing members. Including some by me. Walthamstow life drawing is an amazing place to come on a Monday evening both to practice your drawing skills and to socialize with some of Walthamstows kindest people.
